  • In the first step, type Control Panel in the search bar and click on the first result.
  • Second, choose Programs from the Control Panel menu.
  • Next, select the option to Turn Windows features on or off from the left panel of the Programs and Features window.
  • Once the Windows Features window appears, check the SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support box.
  • You can now click on the OK button and restart your computer.

Fix 2: Change network security settings

Incorrect network security settings may be responsible for error 0x80070035. Hence, you can use strong encryption protocols, such as NTLMv2, to fix the issue. Here is how. 

  • First, press the Windows logo key+R key to launch the Run utility.

Fix 4: Enable folder sharing

If the folder you are trying to open is not shared correctly, you may experience the error 0x80070035 “network path not found.” Hence, you can follow the directions below to enable folder sharing. 

  • First, right-click the folder you wish to share.
  • Second, click Properties and navigate to the Sharing tab.

Fix 5: Turn on network discovery and file sharing

  • First, type Control Panel in Windows search and select it from the results.
  • Second, choose Network and Internet from the Control Panel Windows and then click on Network and Sharing Center.
  • Next, choose the option to Change advanced sharing settings from the left panel of the Network and Sharing Center.
  • Lastly, click on the Save Changes button and then restart your computer.

  • Next, locate AllowInsecureGuestAuth. If it is not available, right-click the right panel and choose New > DWORD (32-bit).
  • You can now name it AllowInsecureGuestAuth and set 1 as its value.
  • Lastly, click OK and restart your computer.
